Which is it, One God or Trinity?
Most people know that the word trinity is found nowhere in the Bible. So where did the word come from and what does it mean? The word comes from the Latin word trinite and basicly means,"the state of being threefold"(Webster's Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary). True Christians will tell you that Jesus is God, and that the Holy Spirit is God. This is because of the trinity of God. As you may have figured out, we believe in the trinity. I will explain by the Word of God. Turn to Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
In this scripture, who is us? According to the Bible, as I will begin to show you "us" here in Genesis 1:6 is this Trinity! God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost (us). You may say, I understand that God was in the beginning but what about Jesus and the Holy Spirit?
Notice verse 2 of Genesis chapter 1. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. So now we know that the Holy Spirit was with God in the very beginning. What about Jesus?
We will now look at Saint John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
Jesus was there in the beginning of the world! The Word became flesh.
This is Jesus!
Now, look at 1 John 5:7 (: you will only see this in the KJV or The Amplified Bible. The NIV amoung many others have removed verse 7 and split verse 8 to look as though it is still there.)
Remember we are not to add to or take away from God's Word!
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
These three(trinity) are one.
One what? One GODHEAD! That is why we can believe the scripture that says in Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with
all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Acts 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not ot think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
Read Romans Chapter one verses 18-32 and notice those who refuse to glorify Him as God even though they knew Him. This also included the Godhead (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit)which people still refuse to acknowledge today! Therefore because these Three are One, when we worship God the Father, we are worshipping the Son and the Holy Spirit also.
Now look at 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Let's break it down:
God never left His Throne! Through Christ His Son He became Man! Thats why He could live a perfect life on this earth!
John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father;
and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
Some people believe that if you weren't baptized in Jesus' Name your not saved, or baptized. That is a lie of the devil! We are told in Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore,
and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: This is also in RED which means Jesus is the one talking!
Do you think Jesus made a mistake and really meant something else? I don't think so.
In Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Do you think Peter made a mistake in what he said? Of course not!
According to Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.
Now let's look at Matthew 3:16 - 17 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Notice
#1(Jesus in the water, God the Son)
#2 (the Spirit of God desending like a dove, God the Spirit)
#3 (a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, God the Father)
The Trinity!
Why is it, when someone is baptized some ministers say in Jesus name only, and others in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit?
The correct way someone is to be baptized is "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and Holy Spirit, in Jesus Name".
Don't be fooled by Pastors, Priests, Ministers, Apostles, Bishops, Elders, Deacons, Evangelists, Believers or anyone else, The Word of God is easy to understand all it takes is time to read it!Enjoy!

Let's break it down:
- God was manifest in the flesh (God came as a human)(fully man fully God)
- jusified in the Spirit (God's Spirit justified His work)
- seen of angels (self explanitory)
- preached unto the Gentiles (All races that are not Jewish)
- believed on in the world (Some believe some don't)
- received up into glory (Went back to the Father who received Him)
God never left His Throne! Through Christ His Son He became Man! Thats why He could live a perfect life on this earth!

Why Did God Reject Cain's Sacrifice?
I'm sure you've heard that the reason God rejected Cain's sacrifice was because God required a blood sacrifice. This could not be further than the truth.
4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
4:2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
4:3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.
4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
4:5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
4:6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee [shall be] his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
4:9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where [is] Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: [Am] I my brother's keeper?
4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
4:11 And now [art] thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
4:12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.
4:13 And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment [is] greater than I can bear.
4:14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, [that] every one that findeth me shall slay me.
4:15 And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.
4:16 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
4:17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.
Notice that nowhere did God tell Cain that as soon as he learns to keep sheep and animals and pick out the best because I want blood shed then I will accept your sacrifice. The Lord was looking at the heart of these two men. Able really worked hard to give God his best and then did so. Cain who also worked hard somewhere decided that he would get the best and left God with a secondary selection. In verse 7 God tells Cain that if he does well he will be accepted. This is very clear that if Cain had given his best he would have been accepted just as quick as Abel. Cain then out of jelousy allowed sin to enter his heart and he turned on his brother hoping to remove the one that stood in the way of him and God. Not realizing the impact it would make in their relationship. The ground was cursed (remember Cain was a farmer) he would now be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth and Cain would no longer have that relationship with God that he once had. Cain said in verse 13 "my punishment is greater than I can bear". Cain also feared for his life, so God placed a mark on him to protect him from the people of the world. This had nothing to do with blood, but has everything to do with the heart.

They choose to.
